Biography 

 

Manus Noble was born in London in 1988. He studied the guitar from the age of seven and at an early age was noticed as an exceptional talent. He studied privately with Craig Ogden for two years before continuing his studies with Gary Ryan at the Royal College of Music in 2006. In 2010 he was awarded a scholarship to do his Masters in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music.

He was awarded first prize for the Guitar Competition at the Royal College of Music before going on to the String Player of the Year Competition. He also received the award for 'most oustanding musician' from Magdalen College, Oxford. Manus Noble gave his debut performance at the Cadogan Hall, London at the age of 19.  He has performed throughout the UK and abroad and had masterclasses with Charles Ramirez, Gary Ryan, Carlos Bonnell, Allan Neave, Eduardo Catemario, Mark Eden, Craig Ogden, Mark Ashford, Andrew York, Chris Stell, Sharon Isbin, Jason Vieaux, David Russell and many more.

As a composer, Manus Noble's compositions open up the rich and varied sound world of the guitar and combine the traditional aspects of the instrument with extended performance techniques and more contemporary influences.

Manus Noble's guitars are made by the English luthier, Stephen Hill.
